In a world that celebrates productivity, presence often feels like a luxury. Our calendars are full, our minds pulled in countless directions. But what if presence isn’t just a quiet gift—it’s a form of power?
When I sit beside my wife during her treatments, there’s often nothing I can do to change her pain or make it better. But I can be there. Fully. No phone, no distractions—just witnessing her experience, holding her hand. It’s a kind of sacred stillness that doesn’t solve problems, but somehow makes the unbearable more bearable.
We underestimate how deeply healing our presence can be. It tells others: You are not alone. And just as importantly, it tells us: I am here. I am whole.
This week, challenge yourself to bring your full presence to one interaction each day. No agenda. No multitasking. Just you—fully there.
You might be surprised at how powerful it feels.
Warm Regards,
Geoff Grant
